I have so many different fantasies in my vivid and wild imagination. It’s not a crime to have such a thing when you’re an adult and I’m not afraid to show it. So starting now, I’m going to share some of these characters I am in certain universes with you. Starting with my two different identities in the Halo Universe. This is my first one, and the second one will be shared in my next entry.
Emili ‘Vadumee
Born and raised on Sangheilios, Emili ‘Vadumee was born in the state of Vadum. Her family did not allow her the ability to fight but at a young age she picked up an energy sword and her interest in battle sparked, she trained in secret with her cousins who were more accepting of her non-traditional pursuit and were put through strict discipline from the elders in the state of Vadam.
During adolescence, Emili enlisted in the Covenant military; although she was not accepted right away due to the military not recruiting females, she was put through a series of tests and passed them all and as a Minor Elite, she served on board Truth and Reconciliation before its voyage in following the human vessel Pillar of Autumn to Installation 04. During the battle on the Halo, and pursuit of its control room, Emili stayed on the Cruiser until she was sent on a Phantom to extract the remaining forces from the Halo when the Flood was released. Emili’s skills were proven to be efficient when she killed a large number of Marines to save her brothers. Emili and the surviving Covenant linked up with the Fleet of Particular Justice led by Thel ‘Vadamee and escaped as the Installation was destroyed.
Back on High Charity, Emili was promoted to Major but her position on Thel’s fleet was revoked when the Supreme Commander was stripped of his title. Although Emili did not attend Thel’s suicide mission, she spent her time on High Charity only to witness the resignation of the Sangheili guards upon the murder of the Prophet of Regret before Thel returned. Emili met Rtas ‘Vadumee during the time of guard resignation. The two became close quickly and were assigned to accompany Thel to the surface of Installation 05 to retrieve the Index. Emili and Rtas camped out at the Quarantine Zone when separated from their squad, where they fended off the Flood until Thel arrived. There, they accompanied Thel to the gondola, upon which Emili led her own squad, marking her first test as a leader.
Emili returned to her Phantom with Rtas to help him fend off the Flood while Thel continued forward. At an unknown time, the two of them were separated and Emili returned to High Charity hoping to report that the Index had been found. Upon her return, the Covenant civil war had erupted and the Spartan John-117 was on board the station. Emili learned of the Jiralhanae’s orders to execute the Sangheili, and she narrowly escaped the station in a phantom after killing many of the Jiralhanae.
Following her escape, Emili received a message from Thel to return to the Halo at once as he had discovered the truth of the rings. Emili reunited with Rtas and helped him assist Thel in stopping Tartarus from firing the ring. Her efforts had her promoted to Ultra and she joined Thel and Rtas’s faction Swords of Sanghelios.
During the battle for Earth, Emili served on the carrier Shadow of Intent as Rtas’s second on command. Around this time, she dropped the “ee” suffix in her name. During this time, Emili spent more time on Rtas’s ship, rather than leading troops into battle, but as the war raged on, she became much closer to Rtas and fell for him. Fearing her feelings for him would interfere with the war, she kept it to herself and remained loyal to him.
At the end of the war, Emili was granted promotion to Zealot and Supreme Commander given command of the Sangheili Supercarrier which she named Unbreakable Love once she returned to Sanghelios with Thel, Rtas, and the rest of their brothers. Some say that she chose the name for the carrier as a way to represent her feelings for Rtas. Emili and Rtas parted ways during the time of peace on Sanghelios until the time came that she was needed again.
However, three nights before she was called to war again, Rtas visited Emili in her home in the Vadum state where they reflected back on their days in battle together. Lonely since the end of the war, Emili finally confessed her love for him, Rtas admits that he has always envied her as a warrior and leader, which led to his own feelings mutual. The two mated and their marriage took place the following day in the Vadam Keep at Thel’s request as he wished them both happiness.
Two weeks later, the couple learned of a new Covenant faction forming to stop humanity from entering a Forerunner planet. Emili and Rtas were granted Thel’s previous fleet and several other fleets to command to stop the rogue Covenant.
To this day, Supreme Commander Emili Vadum and her husband Rtas have been pursuing the Storm Covenant. There is no word as to whether their truce with humanity still exists.
