It’s Monday and you know what that means!
I didn’t want to get out of bed this morning, mainly because it’s the first day of a new semester. You see the amount of work you’re going to have to do and you think it’s the end of the world. But then you settle in, and it’s not as bad as you thought it was. The weekly tasks take you less than an hour to complete and you feel great knowing that once you actually start working.
But I’ll talk about that in another post. I haven’t done a song by this band in a while, and I know who’s going to jump for joy upon reading this. So this week’s song is:
My iPod was on shuffle on the bus this morning, so I let it be the judge of what I pick this week. This song I’ve been meaning to dedicate to one of my fictional crushes in the Middle Ages, either Farkas, Legolas or Aragorn. I haven’t made my mind up yet, but I imagine myself singing this song on the Throat of the World, so maybe it should be for Farkas?
I wanted to hear this one live last time I saw them, most of the song songs on the Dark Passion Play are favourites of mine (hence my favourite album), and one of them is 7 minutes long which will be featured in a future post.
This one has a great opening to it and I love the piano in it. It sounds like it’s about getting over a breakup and then meeting someone else not long after, and then you fall for them. That would be the general thing people would think, but it’s not what I think of!
I also hope to check out Epica as I write this so if I do, look out for anything related to them that I put on here.
