Huns at the beach

Okay maybe I lied, I said on Monday that I wouldn’t be blogging until after finals. Scratch that, I mean that any major posts I have coming up: such as featured songs, planned rants, lists, reviews, etc.
All those things will be on hold until after exams, but if anything small comes up like a good dream, I’m going to write about it.
Speaking of which, I did have a nice dream last night. I was fed up with the recent weather here, that it was a relief where this dream took place.
I was on the beach lying on a blanket under an umbrella. (My skin doesn’t tan anyway) I was damp from swimming near the shore, and not far away were several men in the army that I was with. One of them had long black hair, I call him Yong Ro and you’ll see him in The Warlord’s Prize. He’ll be Shan Yu’s closest adviser. In the movie, he’s the Hun that sniffs the doll and says he’s picked up a stench of sulfur from cannons. (they don’t have names in the movie, so perhaps I shall give them names. If I’m going to give Shan Yu a backstory so he has more character development, might as well give to the rest of his closest men.)

This beach, is unfortunately not one of your scorching hot, white sandy, and sunny beach. Since this was in China, I can imagine the beaches there being not as warm. Perhaps it was around fifteen degrees Celsius.
This dream doesn’t really play a part in my story that I’m going to write, unlike the two previous dreams, and it was a very short dream unfortunately. I wish I could remember more of it, but I’ve had a very difficult day, and when that happens, I feel like my brain is off on this.
As I relaxed on the beach, I asked Yong Ro where Shan Yu was, he said that he had gone hunting and would be back in a few hours, but I couldn’t wait to see him again. I waited, and waited, and waited…..then as I walked towards the edge of the beach into the forest, I spotted him walking through the trees, and then I got up and ran towards him as if I hadn’t seen him in years. Assuming this dream takes place at a time where I’ve gone from being his prisoner to his lover, he dropped the dead animal he was carrying and opened his arms for me.
As soon as I reached him, he picked me up, spun me around, and kissed me. He had been thinking about me all along during his hunt, we both exchanged our words of love for each other and we kissed again. Between kisses he said, “My sweet little Emily…” that just makes me melt inside, one of my friends uses that to torture me now.

He also tortures me with pictures like these!

That’s when I woke up. Funny, the last time I dreamed about one of my other fictional crushes, I kissed them, but still, I love the feeling it brings.
So a short little dream to write about in a flesh. Oh, did I tell you that Miguel Ferrer answered me on Twitter over the Easter weekend? He did Shan Yu’s voice in the movie, and that role, along with being the heretic leader in Halo 2, are the only roles I know him for. I follow a lot of actors on Twitter, even if I only love/know one role that they have done.
I sent him a picture of Shan Yu asking him if he remembered voicing him, and he said it was one of his favourites to do, the time when his sons thought his job as an actor was cool. That’s so sweet, I had a little heart attack that day! Nothing’s better than the actor who voiced your favourite childhood villain answers you. swoons

Alright, I’m signing off, still have a lot of stuff to do in the final weeks of the semester before I get back into my serious writings here.
