Song Of Silk

Game announcements always catch me by surprise, and when they do, they always make me happy!

I was told on Valentine’s Day and went to see what the fuss was all about and boy I never thought I would be that excited.

I’m not even done with the first game and already they’re releasing a sequel.

I have no idea how long I’ve been playing Hollow Knight, but in the beginning I remember how I got easily frustrated when I got stuck at a boss I couldn’t beat, but I persevered because I really love the game. I love its animation, cause hello, it’s hand-drawn! Hand-drawn animation is the best! I also love its soundtrack and vast world to explore. It’s like Dark Souls, just with bugs instead, and yes if I can get this far in HK and eventually get good at it, then I can do the same with DS.

Anyway, as soon as I saw the trailer for Silksong, I was so excited. It was originally going to be a DLC where we would play as Hornet, but then Team Cherry announced she would be getting a full game instead, which is even better!

I remember I wanted to hate Hornet back when I was having a lot of trouble defeating her in the Greenpath, but I couldn’t bring myself to because I was starting to like her as well. It was because of her desire to protect Hallownest and she’s simply a beautiful badass. I think I’ve always wanted to play as her in these games before I even knew it despite me only knowing the basics of the game’s lore so far.

There’s no exact release date for the game yet, but it’s on my Steam wishlist. The game is also set to release on the Switch as well.

Any other Hollow Knight fans out there?
