Tea By the Ocean

If you’re reading this, you might think I’m going to turn into one of those typical travel bloggers. No, not happening. I will always continue to write about my geeky stuff and music, I just want to share a bit of my vacation as well hence adding to my broad list of things I like to write about.

This is the first full day and we actually had access to the exclusives, so it’s nice to have breakfast in somewhere quieter than a noisy crowded buffet.

I love tea, I can’t live without a warm cup of tea every morning, even on vacation. I will never drink coffee, I can’t understand why everyone loves it. Frankly, I find the taste to be awfully bitter.

My mom and I have a morning routine in the Caribbean. After breakfast, we do a beach walk and then read our books until it’s time for any activity that catches our eye. Every morning at 10:30am there’s archery at this particular resort.

It ain’t easy aiming that’s for sure, but it’s all about concentration and when I’m not absorbed in another world or galaxy, I enjoy meditative activities. Today, it’s been a year since I last shot arrows so I’m a bit rusty getting back into it. My mom and I have been trying to find a club back home where we can do it more often, but no luck.

I think I also enjoy archery just because it’s present in fantasy universes I love so I can try to unleash my inner Legolas, even if I’m not that skilled at it!

The ocean is lovely down here, there’s something nice about walking on the shoreline that gives a sense of calming that no ordinary walk can give. I also had to jump in and try to swim against the waves; I call it body-surfing and it’s fun until the water gets into your mouth yes it is salty.

Vacation also gives me time to catch up on my reading. In fact, it’s the only time I binge read! So I’m on the last book of The Seven Realms and am eager to find out how Raisa will manage as queen and what’s going to happen to Han. I wish he would just kill Micah since he’s my least favorite! Han and Raisa have do much chemistry it’s phenomenal, it’s like they were made for each other, though earlier in the series before the magic bond, I could see her with Amon instead. But now it’s like, she clearly loves him but feels forced to do a marriage good for the queendom and he doesn’t want to be just her and I quote, backdoor lover. He wants to be the one to marry her.

Oh and our exercursion has been booked for this Friday and there’ll be snorkeling and boating. I’ll say more later, soon it’ll be time for dinner. Adios.
